Open Mic Night Feb. 21 for artists ages 12 to 25

 


CLP-Knoxville will continue celebrating Black History Month with an Open Mic Night on Saturday, Feb.21 from 6 – 9 p.m.

Artists age 12-25, can come in and express themselves through music, storytelling, spoken word, poetry and more. Audience members of any age are welcome.

Work can be about the past, present and future of African American culture. Material must be edited and contain no profanity or offensive language.

Performers must register by contacting via CLP – Knoxville’s Teen Specialist at knoxville@carnegielibrary.org by Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

A Poetry Workshop presented by Drams of Hope will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

CLP-Knoxville is located at 400 Brownsville Road.
