Sen. Fontana goes mobile with offices

State Senator Wayne D. Fontana is opening two new mobile offices.

“Redistricting has changed some of the communities I represent,” Sen. Fontana said. “Hopefully, these mobile office locations will make it easier and more convenient for constituents to stop in and obtain assistance with state government services from my staff and me.”

The new mobile offices will be located in the Strip District at the Pittsburgh Public Market, 2401 Penn Avenue on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in Northside at the CLP-Allegheny Branch, 1230 Federal Street on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Staff will be at the mobile offices to help constituents with such services as car registrations, special tags and license applications, disability plates and placards, information on financial assistance for higher education, birth and death certificate applications, notary applications, senior citizen information, such as PACE and Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications, and requests for literature of all kinds, including copies of bills, regulations, statutes and state maps.

Other services include citations or certificates from the Senate of Pennsylvania for outstanding accomplishments and family milestones, tours of the State Capitol, questions or problems about utilities, consumer complaints, complaints about road conditions, issues and problems involving insurance companies, and any issue involving state government.

Sen. Fontana also has full-time district offices located at 932 Brookline Boulevard in Brookline, 412-344-2551, and at Kenmawr Plaza, 524 Pine Hollow Road in Kennedy Township, 412-331-1208. He has an additional satellite office at 1660 Broadway Avenue in Beechview, 412-343-2080, which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays.
