The police came quickly

It was five days before Christmas. My fresh baked cookies were in containers on the coffee table and the gifts were wrapped.

It was time to settle down and have a nice winter’s nap. I set the alarm, but was not aware that my phone was not on the hook properly.

I decide to do one more chore and opened the cellar door. The alarm started to blast. I hurried to turn it off, thinking it would be alright.

Shortly after, my doorbell was ringing to Frosty the Snowman. There stood Mount Oliver policemen to make sure I was safe.

Now if I was to be in a march, my sign would read: Thank God for Our Policemen.
