Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearing of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 273/14 on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of Amy M. Tchirkow, owner and applicant, for 143 Haberman Avenue in the 18th Ward (Zoning District R2-H).

Applicant requests 6’ high privacy fence at front of two-family dwelling.

Variance: 903.03.D.2, Minimum 15’ front setback required and 0’ requested.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy dated 1986, permitted occupancy “Two-family dwelling with a two-car garage at rear.”

Zone case 246/14 on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 9:00 a.m. is the appeal of Robert Randall Trach and Anne Shaheens, owners and applicants, for 62 & 64 S. 16th Street (parcel 3-H-336, 335, 337) in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests to construct 16.5’x30’ in-ground pool with 18’ one-story pavilion/pool house and 10’ 10”x 27’ 2” one-story pool storage/restroom and 10’ and 6’ high privacy wall at front and 10’x 6.5’ high privacy wall along the southerly side accessory to existing single-family dwelling.

Variances: 903.03.E.2, Minimum 5’ front setback required and 0’ requested (wall); Miminum 5’ interior side setback required and 0 ft. requested (wall, pool storage, restroom); Maximum height 15’ required and 18’ proposed (pool house).

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 200502140, dated 2/22/2007, permitted occupancy “Two-story single-family dwelling with three-car integral garage with two rooftop patios.”
