21+ night at Science Ctr.

Carnegie Science Center is calling all vampires, witches, ghosts, and ghouls to celebrate Halloween with a spooky evening of science at “21+ Spirits and Spirits,” from 7 – 11 pm on Friday, Oct. 31.

The Science Center is teaming up with Wigle Whiskey for the adults-only event. What do baseball bats, Prohibition, and Santa Claus have in common? Wigle has the answer in its alcohol-themed ghost stories.

Maggie’s Farm Rum and the Independent Brewing Company will present mixology lessons in the Science Center’s BodyStage. Iron City Aerial, an acrobatic troupe, will show off their aerial silk skills with a performance in the Omnimax Lobby.

As part of the Halloween theme, guests can make slime and learn the science behind spooky fog effects using liquid nitrogen.

21+ Night features music, cash bars, and the chance to experience four floors of hands-on exhibits – with no kids. Exhibits include BLUE!, SpacePlace, RoboWorld, and Zap! Surgery.

Participants get a discount on Omnimax films and laser shows that evening, including the HalloScream laser show, featuring alt-rock icons such as Marilyn Manson, Korn, and Rob Zombie.

The cost of the event is $10 with advance registration before noon on the day of the event or $15 after noon at the door. Guests will receive a voucher for $15 in free slot play at the Rivers Casino when they arrive, while supplies last.

Costumes are encouraged, but no full face covering as everyone will be carded at the door.

For more information or to register, visit CarnegieScienceCenter.org or call 412-237-3400.
