Carrick library activities

 


Activities at the Carrick Library will include a couple of spooktacular events.

Come in for a Carrick tradition-- the annual Haunted House at the library. Explore three mini-rooms of family-friendly terror, recommended for ages 6 and up. The spooky walk-through only takes a few minutes, but visitors are welcome to try it twice.

The event will run Wednesday and Thursday, October 29-30 from 5-7:30 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 1 from 2-4 p.m. Haunted Library is created and presented by Teen Think, CLP- Carrick’s Teen Advisory Group.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History presents: Reptiles & Amphibians @ the Library on Saturday, Oct. 25 from noon-1 p.m. Children are invited to meet some live reptiles and amphibians at the library in this special program presented by Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

Participants will learn how to observe the animals using real scientific tools, examine the adaptations that help them to survive in the wild, and enjoy hands-on science activities. This program is intended for children in grades K-5. Call 412-882-3897 to register in advance.

Kids Club: Halloween Fun is planned for Thursday, Oct. 23: 3:30-4:30 p.m. Kids in grades K-5 are welcome to come in and check out a special Kids Club featuring Halloween treats and activities. No registration required.

The Carrick Branch Library is at 1811 Brownsville Road.
