Next South Pittsburgh leaders will hold event on Hilltop

 


The third wave of Next Neighborhood Leaders, Next Neighborhood Leaders South Pittsburgh, will hold Our Next South Pittsburgh an event bringing together community leaders and residents of South Pittsburgh on Saturday, Oct. 18.

The event is slated for 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Mount Oliver Fire Hall, 120 Brownsville Road.

Our Next South Pittsburgh will provide a platform for building collaboration among communities, getting new folks engaged and excited about how they can make a difference in their community and bringing positive publicity to South Pittsburgh.

Registration is from 11-11:30 a.m. and an opportunity to connect with volunteers, community members and local leaders from throughout South Pittsburgh.

Keynote speaker will be Mark Bibro, executive director of the Birmingham Foundation. Mr. Bibro will discuss the challenges and opportunities in the communities and where to go to find help.

Breakout sessions will follow with facilitated conversations with community leaders and participants in order to start a dialogue and brainstorm solutions for building collaboration amongst the neighborhoods and how to better engage the community.
