Police issue warrant for SS bank robbery suspect

Pittsburgh Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Jeffrey Schrott who is wanted for the Sunday, July 13 robbery at Citizens Bank in the Wharton Square Giant Eagle on South Side.

Mr. Schrott, 33, is 5' 11" and weighs approximately 190 lbs. He is known to frequent Neville Island and Coraopolis.

During the weekend robbery, he approached a bank teller at approximately 2:20 p.m. and gave them a handwritten note that read, "I have a 9mm. 100's 50's No dye packs and nobody gets hurt." He was unmasked and made off with an unspecified amount of money.

Allegheny County Police also have a warrant for Mr. Schrott's arrest in the July 7 robbery of First Niagra Bank on Mill Street in Coraopolis.
