South Side attorney elected to county bar association position


Meyer, Unkovic & Scott announced attorney Ron Hicks has been elected to the Judiciary Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA).

Ronald L. Hicks, Jr., partner at Meyer Unkovic & Scott, was elected to the ACBA Judiciary Committee for a three year term.  The Judiciary Committee is a group of attorneys independently elected by the members of the ACBA to interview and evaluate, for the benefit of voters, all candidates who are running for or seeking an appointment to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and any interested Allegheny County candidate who is seeking to become a judge on a Pennsylvania appellate or federal court. 

As a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Vice-Chair of its Business & Tort Litigation Group, Mr. Hicks is a civil trial and appellate lawyer who works with businesses and individuals on complex litigation matters, with particular service to the gay, lesbian and non-traditional family business community. 

He grew up in North Sewickley Township. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1984 and Wake Forest University School of Law in 1987. He currently resides in South Side.
