Zoning Board hearings


Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 238/12 on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of Heartland Homes Inc., applicant, and Larkins & 27th LP, owner, for S 27th and Larkins Way in the 16th Ward (Zoning District R2-VH).

Applicant requests seven new three-story single-family attached dwellings with two-car integral garages.

Variance Requests: 903.03.E.2, Minimum 1,200 sq. ft. lot size permitted and 1,060 sq. ft. requested for the units 1, 2, 3, 4 located on S 27th Street; Minimum 5 ft. exterior side setback required and 0 ft. requested (Unit 4); Minimum 5 ft. interior yard estback reqired and 4.5 ft. requested (Unit 5). 926.126, Lot must have at least one front on a street.

Zone case 240/12 on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of Vladimir Shabanov, owner and applicant, for 132 Nobles Lane in the 29th Ward (Zoning District R2-L).

Applicant requests use of existing two-story structure as a two-family dwelling.

Variance Requests: 903.03.B.2, Minimum 3,000 sq. ft. lot size per unit required and 1,332 sq. ft. requested. 914.02.A, One additional parking space required and 0 ft. requested.
