Beltzhoover homicide

Shortly after noon on Sunday, Aug. 26, Zone Three police officers responded to a Climax Street address in Beltzhoover for a report of a man who had been shot.

The victim, Daimond Hill, 19, was shot in the chest while outside of his home. He was taken to UPMC Mercy where he was later pronounced dead.

There was a report of two black men fleeing the area following the shooting. At press time, the police haven't made any arrests and the motive for the shooting is still unknown.
