Farmers' Market vouchers distributed at senior centers


Farmers' Market Vouchers will be distributed at area senior citizen centers

Distribution will take place at the Elder-ado Carrick Center, 2019 Brownsville Road, from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m .; at the Elder-ado Knoxville Center, 320 Brownsville Road, from 9 – 11 a.m .; and, at the Elder-ado McKinley Park Center, 900 Delmont Street, from noon – 2 p.m.

The Allentown (Hill Top) Senior Center Center, 631 E. Warrington Avenue, will distribute vouchers on Tuesday, June 28 from 9 – 11 a.m .; Distribution will be at Henry Kaufman Center, 2201 Salisbury Street, from 1 – 3 p.m. the same day.

Eligibility include: Must be Allegheny County resident and not living in a facility that provides meals; Must be 60 years of age or older; Must meet income guidelines: one person household at or below $20,147, two people household at or below $27,214. Married couples may each receive one set of checks.

Eligible individuals may receive only one set (four vouchers valued at $5 each, worth $20 total).

Those who are eligible and unable to attend the distribution, may designate someone to be their proxy by completing a proxy form prior to the distribution date. Proxy forms are available at both senior centers. No proxy forms will be given out on the day of distribution.
