Strong Women, Strong Girls mentors young women in area

November 2, 2010

Strong Women, Strong Girls (SWSG) is a free mentoring program for girls in third, fourth and fifth grades that brings volunteer college women to act as mentors to the girls each week.

The girls will learn about other strong women through the reading of biographies, increasing their self-esteem and developing their skills through interactive activities. The program meets every Thursday in November in Carrick from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. and in Brookline from 4-5:30 p.m.

To register a daughter, niece or granddaughter, stop by the Carnegie Libraries in Carrick or Brookline or contact Mila Yochum at 412-736-4050 or myochum@ swsg.org.
