Public invited to kick-off meetings of SMART TRID planning study
October 12, 2010
The kick-off meetings for the South Metro Area Revitalization through Transit: Transit Revitalization Investment District (SMART TRID) are planned for Tuesday, Oct. 26, 6-8 p.m. at the Warrington Recreation Center, 329 E. Warrington Ave. and Wednesday, Oct. 27, 6-8 p.m. at St. Catherine's Church (McCann Hall), 1901 Broadway.
The study will help to determine the best ways to leverage public transit assets in the SMART area (Allentown, Beechview, Beltzhoover and Mount Washington) into development that can benefit the community and the City of Pittsburgh as a whole. The study will be incorporated into MOVEPGH, the transportation component of PLANPGH, the city's Comprehensive Plan.
