Urban trees topic for CCC


The next Carrick Community Council meeting will be on Wed., May 12 in the Pittsburgh Concord Elementary K-5 auditorium, 2350 Brownsville Road, Carrick.

The program will include presentations from the Pittsburgh Urban Forester, Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forester and TreeVitalize. Those attending will have an opportunity to learn about the city's tree initiative on Brownsville Road and ask questions about their own trees as well.

Topics also include this year's Carrick Goes Gardening Contest and the Carrick community gardens. The meeting is open to the public and starts at 7 p.m.
