Pop Up Pittsburgh! bringing family fun Up on the Hilltop

Pop Up Pittsburgh!: Up on the Hilltop is coming to the Allentown and it's bringing with it fun, games, food, craft activities and entertainment in a family friendly festival along E. Warrington Avenue on Sat., May 15 from 1-5 p.m.
A project of Leadership Development Initiative (LDI), Pop Up Pittsburgh!: Up on the Hilltop features live music, a climbing wall, the "I Made It Market," face painting, displays of artwork, a farmers' market and more along E. Warrington Avenue between Arlington and Beltzhoover avenues and in the St. John Vianney Parish parking lot.
Local restaurants will be manning food booths and featuring favorites including Italian food, barbecue and American treats. A Bake Off between local churches will satisfy the sweet tooth of those trekking up to the Hilltop for the event.
Local artists have submitted their work for the one day festival. The work will be displayed and everyone attending will be able to vote for their favorites. Awards will be presented on the main stage between 4:30 and 5 p.m.
The main stage will also feature local musical groups and performers throughout the event.
The I Made It Market, a nomadic indie crafts marketplace featuring 20 vendors of handmade unique items, will be one of the highlights of the Pop Up Pittsburgh!: Up on the Hilltop.
Sports activities along the avenue will include a climbing wall, a Wiffle ball contest, foul shooting competition, Putt-Putt challenge and street hockey shots.
