Summer food program in operation

The Allegheny County Department of Human Services operates a SummerFood Program for children 18 years of age and younger in low-income communities.
Free breakfast and lunch will be provided in conjunction with a recreation program from June 15 to August 21.
Delicious, nourishing meals will be served weekdays at approximately 120 locations throughout Allegheny County. A site supervisor and accompanying staff will be present to assure the well-being and interest of the children.

The SummerFood Program, which serves children and youth without regard to gender, race, color, national origin or disability, is made possible through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Food and Nutrition. Any complaint of discrimination should be submitted in writing within 180 days of the incident to the Secretary of Agriculture, U.S.D.A., Washington D.C. 2025.
