Bus trip to Washington for WWII veterans

There will be a free bus trip to the WWII National Memorial for WWII veterans on Tuesday, May 19.

Buses will leave at 6 a.m. and return at approximately 9 p.m. from Coraopolis, Ross Park, Monroeville, Greentree and Beaver. The trip includes boxed lunches, dinners and beverages. Wheelchairs are available if requested. Seating is reserved for WWII veterans, family, friends and spouses cannot be accommodated. Call 724-709-3614 to make a reservation or for more information.

Since their first trip in November 2006, approximately 950 WWII veterans, 19 bus loads, have made the trip to the memorial. Donations are being accepted to help cover the cost of the trip. Each $50 donation covers the expenses for one veteran.
