Antioxidants on Woman to Woman agenda

March 17, 2009

The next Hilltop Health Ministries Consortium sponsored “Woman to Woman” program is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday March 20.

The meeting will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 601 Brownsville Road in Mount Oliver. Debbie Koch RN, parish nurse, will lead the discussion on “Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Antioxidants but Were Afraid to Ask.” Antioxidants are touted as substances that can repair damage done to our bodies by the by- products created when our cells use oxygen. The damage is believed to contribute to some health problems such as heart disease, macular degeneration, diabetes and cancer.

“Woman to Woman” is a program to help women stay healthy in body, mind and spirit. The group provides a forum for sharing, learning and growing, as well as providing support and information to all women, on issues that affect the health and wellness of women.

Call Parish Nurse Koch at 412-381-8300 ext. 20 if planning to attend or for more information.
