The fifth stage of the Tour of Pennsylvania brought more than 100 bicycle racers and thousands of fans to the South Side on Saturday. The 90-mile stage from Ligonier included a circuit through the SouthSide Works and up and down East Carson Street. The day was won by David Veilleux of Quebec, Canada. He also won the over-all championship when the race concluded on Sunday.
