County wave pools are now open for the season

Allegheny County pools in Boyce, North, Settler's Cabin and South parks have opened for the season.

Family and senior pool passes may be purchased at the Boyce, North and South park offices. Settler's Cabin passes may be obtained at the wave pool. The fees for County pool passes are as follows: $110 for a family of four (two parents and two children or one parent and three children) and $15 for each additional family member; $60 for an individual pass; $30 for seniors 60 years of age and older; and $20 to replace a lost or stolen pass.

Each family member must be present at the time of application in order to receive individual photo identification passes. Full payment must be made at the time of application. Proper proof of identification (Pennsylvania photo driver's license and/or state identification card) and proof of Allegheny County residency must be provided at time of application. Photo identification passes provide free access to County swimming facilities Monday through Friday except Independence Day and Labor Day.

Daily admission rates are: $4 for individuals ages 13 through 59; $3 for seniors ages 60 and older; $3 for youth ages 6 through 12; and $1 for children ages 5 and younger. Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more with 24-hour notice to the swimming facility.

County pools will be open daily through Monday, Sept. 1, weather and conditions permitting. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. If a pool does not open by 2 p.m. due to inclement weather, it will remain closed for the remainder of the day.
