Wheatly holds meetings on Hilltop

State Rep. Jake Wheatley, D-Pittsburgh, is holding a series of town hall meetings this fall throughout the 19th Legislative District.

“I am holding these meetings to report back to the people I represent on what I have been doing for the district and hear any and all concerns that they may have. I hope that everyone in the district will take part in one or more of these important meetings,” Rep. Wheatley said.

Each meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. The dates and locations are:

• Sept. 18, Point Park University, GRW Theater, University Center Building, 414 Wood St.

• Sept. 20, Greater Allen AME Church, 3600 California Ave.

• Sept. 27, Warrington Recreation Center, 329 E. Warrington Ave.

• Oct. 4, Henry Kaufmann Center (Arlington), 2201 Salisbury St.

• Oct. 11, Allegheny Unitarian Church, 1110 Resaca Place (North Side).

• Oct. 25, Wesley Center AME Zion Church, 2701 Centre Ave.

• Nov. 1, Peoples Oakland, 3433 Bates St.

The 19th District includes part or all of these neighborhoods: the Hill District, North Side, South Side, Allentown, Hazelwood, Downtown, the Bluff, Knoxville, Beltzhoover, Manchester, Arlington, Arlington Heights, and West, South and North Oakland.

Rep. Wheatley is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, which oversees the state budget, and the House Transportation Committee, as well as the Education, Health and Human Services and Majority Policy committees in the House.
