Mt. Oliver Community Days feature family fun for all ages

Mount Oliver Community Days will return tonight, bigger and better with five days of fun and music at Transverse Park.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 17, Community Days will feature the C&L Shows Midway Carnival, live bands on the Transverse Field Main Stage, karaoke and the annual car cruise along with food and game booths. The annual festival will conclude with a fireworks spectacular on Saturday night.

This year, the Community Days Main Stage will be on Transverse Field where favorites include Lyn Woods with "Unattainable," playing rock, blues and "something for everyone" on Tuesday and "KPG" with classic and original music on Wednesday. Friday night the Main Stage features oldies band "The New Holidays," and classic rock with "The Elliotts" on Saturday.

Those looking to "be a star" have their chance on Thursday night with Karaoke with Judy.

C&L Shows Midway Carnival returns to Community Days from Tuesday through Saturday nights. Festival organizers expect to offer "One Price Nights" on Tuesday through Friday.

The Car Cruise, sponsored by Beckman Motor Company, will take place Friday evening on Transverse Field.

On Transverse Field, non-profit organizations will host games of skill and chance along with information on their organizations. Bingo will also be held nightly on street level above the field.

Mount Oliver Community Days climax with the annual Zambelli Fireworks Extravaganza Saturday night.
