County swimming pools now open for the season

Allegheny County pools in Boyce, North, South and Settler's Cabin parks opened over the weekend.

Family and senior citizen pool passes may be purchased at the Boyce, North and South park administration offices. Settler's Cabin pool passes may be obtained at the wave pool.

The fees for county pool passes are as follows: $110 for a family of four (2 parents and 2 children or 1 parent and 3 children) and $15 for each additional family member; $60 for an individual pass; $30 for seniors 60 years of age and over; and $20 to replace a lost or stolen pass.

Each family member must be present at the time of application in order to receive their individual photo identification passes. Full payment must be made at the time of application. Proper proof of identification (Pennsylvania photo driver's license and/or state identification card) and proof of Allegheny County residency must be provided at time of application.

Photo identification passes provide free access to County swimming facilities Monday through Friday except Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. County pools will be open through September 3, weather permitting. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. If a pool does not open by 2 p.m. due to inclement weather, it will remain closed for the balance of the day.
