Carrick High students show off their artwork

Carrick High School's Fine Arts Department will be showcasing student work at its Student Art Show through June 7, at the CCAC North Side Campus Gallery in the Visual Arts Building at Galveston and North Lincoln Avenue.

The students and teachers of Carrick have assembled an impressive collection of work in the areas of ceramics, jewelry/metals, photography and visual arts. More than 175 works of art are on display.

The exhibit is the result of a year or semester spent by students involved in critical thinking and meaningful production in the Carrick art studios. Teachers led students through creative inquiry to create a varied showcase of art from a diverse student population.
