Coupon book sales will benefit the American Lung Association in PA
The American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic is offering coupon books to help fight lung disease. Each book contains seven coupons for either a medium french fry or hash brown or small soft drink offer that can be redeemed at participating Burger King Restaurants, through June.
Also included are two tickets to an April and a May Baseball game for any of ten participating teams along with an $8 reduced admission coupon (for up to four people) to Hersheypark during the 2007 season. Participating ball clubs include: Altoona Curve, Erie SeaWolves, Harrisburg Senators, Lancaster Barnstormers, Reading Phillies, Somerset Patriots, Trenton Thunder, Washington Wild Things, Wilmington Blue Rocks and York Revolution.
Each coupon book represents a $50 value in offers, all for only a $1 donation. In the past, some companies have included the coupon books as payroll stuffers, while area extended care facilities have provided them for all their residents to use and enjoy.
Money raised stays in our area to support American Lung Association programs and services for many of the 471,882 children with asthma in the Mid-Atlantic. Childhood asthma, a serious lung disease that causes difficulty in breathing, is so pervasive, that it has become a leading cause of school absenteeism.
Throughout the year, the American Lung Association conducts family asthma sessions, Asthma Camp Experience, in-school services and programs including Open Airways For Schools, and the Asthma Olympics in addition to providing educational material for children and their families.
Individuals or organizations interested in the coupon books can order them through the mail by sending $1 per book plus $1.25 postage and handling for up to five; $2 postage for up to ten and $4 postage over ten to: American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
They are also available at most local American Lung Association offices, Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more info, including participating Burger King locations, call 1-800-932-0903 or visit: http://www.mrsnv.com/evt/home.jsp?id=1354
