Arlington gets ready for winter


The Arlington Civic Council November open meeting will take place on Monday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.

Guest speakers have been invited from Duquesne Light and Columbia Gas as part of a “Let's get ready for winter” agenda. Representatives will explain emergency assistance programs that will be available to assist

residents with the cost of heating bills. Other winter topics will be discussed including the upcoming Monday, December 4 Adult Christmas Dinner. A review of the Halloween carnival is also anticipated.

Everyone one is welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Arlington Civic Council block watch will also take place on November 6 at 6:15 p.m. Residents are encouraged to review crime statistics and participate in a discussion of how to make the community a safer place.
