Fashion show raises $10,000 for cancer research

On Wednesday, Oct. 4, Philip Pelusi Hair Salons showed their support in the fight against cancer with their annual Fashion Show. All ticket proceeds and donations were contributed to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.

Philip Pelusi teamed up with sponsors 96.1 Kiss FM and the Hard Rock Café –where the event was held. A reception began at 7 p.m. with music from DJ Chaos, aka Tommy Joseph and a silent auction. The Hair and Fashion Show began at 8 p.m. with some of Pittsburgh's finest retailers. The season's hottest beauty looks were created by the Philip Pelusi International Design Team. Also, a Design Team from every Philip Pelusi Salon location presented a model. Serendipity – Accessories to Express Yourself of One Oxford Centre provided accessories.

The evening was a success, raising $10,349.67 for the American Cancer Society. These monies will go toward the development of local cancer services, programs and research. Philip Pelusi Hair Salons continue to support those afflicted with cancer during the entire month of October, where a portion of their Body and Skin Care sales will be donated to the local chapter of the Susan G.
