Slavic food festival at St. John's

St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church will hold its annual Slavic Food Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The festival features homemade traditional Slavic delicacies such as holupki (stuffed cabbage), chicken soup, kolbassi, goulash, chicken paprikash, pyrohy, smoked pork and sauerkraut, halushky, roast lamb dinners and much more. There will also be homemade baked goods and tours of the church with its icons and Old World charm.

In addition, on Sunday at 3 p.m. the Slavjane Children's Folk Ensemble will perform dances from Carpathian Rus'.
