Volunteer opportunities for Step Trek on the Slopes

September 12, 2006

Step Trek volunteer opportunities and an update on the Elm Street project are the main topics for the next South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Note the change of date from the regular meeting schedule.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Saint Paul of the Cross Retreat Center, 148 Monastery Street

Many volunteers are needed for the October 1 Step Trek event for all or part of the day. Bev Boggio, committee chair, will give an update on preparations and explain how residents can help make this annual celebration another success. Complete information about the Step Trek can be found at http://www.Steptrek.org.

Following the Step Trek presentation, a representative from the Elm Street committee will provide a status report on this major initiative.

SSSNA general meetings are open to the public; members and non members are welcome to attend. For more information about the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association, check its website at http://www.SouthSideSlopes. org.
