Keep So. Side streets clear during street cleaning days
May 9, 2006
Last week on street cleaning day in South Side the street cleaner arrived and attempted to clean the street, but there were so many cars parked it was impossible for him to do a good job.
And if the car that usually follows to give tickets was behind him, I know I didn't see it. Don't people read signs?
All or most of the people that park on the street don't live around here, so they don't care if the street is dirty. What's it to them if the dirt and leaves blow all over the place?
Let's have a little consideration, especially since the parkers don't live in our neighborhood. We'd like our street cleaned without cars in the way.
