Pittsburgh Public Schools is currently accepting registration for Head Start and pre-kindergarten programs for the 2005-2006 school year.
Both programs provide comprehensive services for children three to five years old at various locations in the district.
Services include a nationally recognized curriculum, individual instruction, field trips and theme related activities. There are extended hours at select centers and all centers provide health screening services, services for children with disabilities, nutritious meals and snacks, parent involvement and volunteer opportunities.
At the time of registration, parents/guardians must provide the child's immunization record, documentation of the child's last physical and dental exams, birth certificate and social security number, and proof of income (pay stub, W2 and/or DPA printout).
