City Theatre adds holiday show
August 2, 2005
Late Nite Catechism by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan, the play that takes audiences back to grade-school religion class taught by “Sister,” has sold-out nearly every performance at City Theatre since it began in April and currently is extended until August 28. Pittsburghers have had an overwhelmingly favorable response to the show's humor, nostalgia, and audience-interaction.
Those who loved Late Nite will be happy to know that City Theatre will present another one-woman play by Maripat Donovan, Sister's Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold, from November 1, to January 8, 2006 in the 120-seat Lester Hamburg Studio. “Sister” looks for clues about who stole the gold from the Bethlehem stable, directs a Living Nativity, explains Christmas carol lyrics and more in this hilarious holiday show.
