Mt. Washington businessman steps forward to help open Pool

Mount Washington businessman, Ed Dunlop, has pledged $30,000 to assure that Ream pool will be opened this summer.

“I'm very excited that Mr. Dunlap has stepped forward for the children of Mount Washington,” said Councilman Dan Deasy, who has facilitated meetings with Parks Director Duane Ashley and the Murphy administration.

“The community has been great in supporting our businesses and I'd like to give something back,” said Dunlap who owns the LeMonte restaurant on Mt. Washington, as well as Café Euro in the USX Tower, and is CEO of Centimark Corporation. “The community provided facilities and activities for us as youths and I believe that providing recreational opportunities has a profound positive influence on a child's path in life.”

Councilman Deasy is looking forward to working with Dunlap, the community and the administration to help get the pool open in a timely manner.
