DAT team will discuss design issues concerning Mon/Fayette Expressway

The Glenwood to Bates Street Design Advisory Team (DAT) is well underway in identifying key issues to be addressed during the final design and construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway PA Route 51 to I-376.
During this process the DAT will carefully consider a number of design issues specific to Oakland and Hazelwood. The DAT, a collaboration of community stakeholders as well as project engineers and designers, will use their expertise and input from the community to make decisions to relating to the Mon/Fayette Expressway between the Glenwood Bridge and Bates Street.
The result of these deliberations will be documented in a Decision Chronicle – a database available to the public through the DAT Website.
The May DAT meeting resulted in a preliminary list of design issues to be finalized at the June meeting. Many public observers were present at the May DAT meeting and were able to make verbal and written comment.
The next Glenwood to Bates Street DAT meeting, which is open to the public, will be held on Thursday, June 16, at 5:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Gardens Hotel in Oakland. The July meeting, also open to the public, will be held on Thursday, July 21, location TBD.
