Daffodil Days distribution coming up

A new season of hope has arrived in Pennsylvania, thanks to the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days campaign, to be held the week of March 15. Volunteers will distribute thousands of daffodils to homes, offices, hospitals, churches and synagogues across the state, raising over $4 million for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services.

Daffodil Days has been bringing the first flower of spring – the flower of hope – to Pennsylvania residents since 1973. Last year's campaign raised over $3.7 million.

Donations for daffodils are $7 for a bunch of 10 flowers and will be delivered during the week of March 15. Daffodils will also be available for individual purchase at sites throughout Pennsylvania during Daffodil Days. Call the local office of the American Cancer Society or 1-800-ACS-2345 for information on direct sale sites, other locally available products, and volunteer opportunities.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and colorectal cancer is preventable through screening. Call 1-800-ACS-2345 or visit to learn more.
