Short readings scheduled at Brew House ‘garage'
The next installment of American Shorts Reading Series will be at the I.A.C. Performance Garage at the Brew House on Thursday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7.
This month's them is Art and Invention and readers and text include Pittsburgh Post Gazette writer and editor Tony Norman reading James Baldwin's classic short story “Sonny's Blues,” and Pat Clarke of Jackson/Clark Partners – founding core member of the Ground Zero Action Network, reading Adam Haslett's comical and provoking “Notes to My Biographer.”
Also, the short film “Anamorphosis” by The Brothers Quay, and the award winning Matt McCormick film “The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal” narrated by Miranda July will be presented.
Admission is $3 per person and light snacks and refreshments will be served. The Brew House I.A.C. Performance Garage is at 2100 Mary Street, South Side.
