Foundation compiling kids Summer Fun list

South Pittsburgh youth and teens will have many choices for summer fun in the area.

Summer fun programs are planned in a number of local neighborhoods sponsored by nonprofit agencies, churches, schools and community groups.

The Birmingham Foundation would like to include that information in a Summer Fun in the South 2003 guide of youth and teen programs to be published early next month. The deadline for information to be included is April 18.

The Mayor's Office on Youth Policy will distribute the guide to local households. It will also be published in The South Pittsburgh Reporter and sent to local schools, churches and youth–serving organizations. This is the third year for the creation of a Summer Youth/Teen Program Guide for South Pittsburgh. Partners include the South Consortium, Allentown Civic Council, and the Mayor's Office on Youth Policy.
