LICENSED Mechanic

Air Star Transportation is currently seeking a LICENSED Fleet Mechanic to join our team. Over Time is NOT required and this is NOT a Flat Rate position. This mechanic role performs preventive maintenance, perform diagnostics, and make repairs on our vehicles in the safest, most effective way possible. If you are only interested in Part Time, please apply as well. Must have all related certifications and licenses including PA Inspection. Job Responsibilities: Inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation/changes, wheel balancing, filter replacement Maintain vehicle functionality by listening to operator complaints, repairing engine failures and system malfunctions, replacing parts/components, repairing body damage Complete regularly scheduled fleet inspections Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems as needed Comply with state vehicle requirements, monitoring engine, safety, and combustion control standards Maintain vehicle Job Requirements (Knowledge and Skills): Knowledge: A high school diploma, required 2-4 years’ experience as a mechanic Be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and random testing Must be at least 23 years of age (insurance purposes) Have a valid driver’s license.
