The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: November 6-12.

Duquesne Heights (1911) – Nothing to Report (NTR).

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft – 400 blk. Bailey Ave. – between 11/5/17 at 7 PM and 11/6/17 at 10:58 AM – Victim reported his company car was stolen. Officers were able to locate the silver 2018 Kia Sorento. The employee to control of the car.

Burglary – 500 blk. Delmont Ave. – 11/8/17 at 3:50 AM – Officers responded to a burglary in progress. The victim as on scene and stated he discovered a black male (50-55, 6'1", 220 pounds, large build, short black Afro, scruffy beard, medium complexion, deep voice, and black/green long "camo"coat. Entry was made through a window. The suspect was stealing copper pipe from the home.

Theft from vehicle – 200 blk. Bertha St. – between 11/5/17 at 2:30 PM and 11/6/17 at 4:50 AM – Victim reported her vehicle was ransacked but nothing was taken.

Theft from vehicle – 200 blk. Bertha St. – between 11/3/17 at 6 PM and 11/6/17 at 8 AM – Victim reported someone ransacked his vehicle and stole $5 in change.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Wyoming St. – between 11/5/17 at 3 PM and 11/6/17 at 7:15 AM – Victim reported items in her vehicle were moved but nothing appears to be taken.

Theft – 300 blk. Belonda St. – between 11/3/17 at 9 PM and 11/6/17 at 8 AM – Victim reported his Diamondback Edgewood hybrid mountain bike (21-speed) was stolen from his porch. The amount of loss is $475.

Burglary – 200 blk. Wade St. – between 10/19/17 at 2 PM and 11/9/17 at 4:38 PM – A property owner reported a burglary. The owner had the following items taken from the home: a wooden fireplace mantel, electric stove, refrigerator, Panasonic microwave, dishwasher, & hot water heater. The amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 500 blk. Griffin St. – 11/10/17 at 11:49 AM – Victim called to report a known person took her package. The package was then thrown into the garbage. Officers recovered the package from the garbage and the victim did not want to pursue charges. The package was worth $60.

South Shore (1921) – NTR

Bon Air (1806) – NTR

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft from vehicle – 2500 blk. Leticoe St. – between 10/30/17 at 3 PM and 10/31/17 at 8:30 AM – Victims reported their cars had been ransacked but only one of them had items stolen from it. The items were Oakley prescription sunglasses, Under Armor sunglasses, head phones, pocket knife, & coins. Amount of loss is over $925.

Theft from vehicle – 2900 blk. Arlington Ave. – between 11/6/17 at 7 PM and 11/7/17 at 9 AM – Victim reported 2 Pitt bags with clothes, state ID, & gold pendent were stolen out of his vehicle. The amount of loss is unknown.

Aggravated assault – S. 18th St. & St. Patrick St. – 11/7/17 at 11:39 PM – Officers responded to shots fired calls. While checking the area, a victim reported a white truck was shooting at him while he was driving down S. 18th Street. Officers observed 5 bullet holes in his vehicle. The amount of damage is unknown. The victim received a cut due to broken glass from the car.

Theft – 2400 blk. S. 18th St. – between 8/1/17 at 8 AM and 8/31/17 at midnight – Victim reported a known person stole her dress, skirt, sweater, denim crop top, necklace, flat iron, and fake fingernails. Amount of loss is over $165.

Theft – 1200 blk. Arlington Ave. – 11/6/17 at 6 PM – An owner of a business had money take out of the tip jar. The amount of loss is $40.

Theft – 400 blk. Bailey Ave. – between 11/5/17 at 7 PM and 11/6/17 at 10:58 AM – Victim reported his company car was stolen. Officers were able to locate the silver 2018 Kia Sorento. The employee to control of the car.

South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)

Theft – 2500 blk. Sarah St. – between 9/1/17 at midnight and 10/1/17 at midnight – Victim reported employees of his stole items from his business and put it on an App. The items were a Dewalt compressor, Port-a-torch, Passload framing nailer, Rigid snake, Rigid electric tool set, flooring nailer, and hand tools. Amount of loss is over $5,300.

Burglary – 100 blk. S. 22nd St. – 11/12/17 at 1:50 AM – Property owner called to report his rental property door was forced open and a space heater had been stolen. Amount of loss is $20.

Theft by deception – 100 blk. Wharton Ct. – between 8/16/17 at 8 AM and 8/16/17 at 8 PM – Victim explained she paid $750 to be a certified eyelash technician. The female attended the class but never received her certification.

Theft – 2000 blk. Sarah St. – 10/22/17 at midnight – Victim reported a known person stole his Mossberg 715T .22 rifle. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 1100 blk. E. Carson St. – 11/7/17 at 3 AM – Victim reported leaving his ATM card in the machine and someone took the card and used it for an unauthorized transaction. The amount of loss is $420.

Theft -1600 blk. E. Carson St. – 11/11/17 at 6 PM – Victim left her wallet in her vehicle and could not locate it later. The amount of loss is unknown.

Aggravated assault – 1400 blk. E. Carson St. – 11/10/17 at 1:36 AM – A highly intoxicated female was passed out in the women's restroom. The staff was trying to help the female when she became aggressive. Officers working the Southside saturation were notified the bar had a problem with a female inside and requested assistance. The female was so highly intoxicated she had to be carried out of the bar and assaulted a staff member as they were carrying her out. Officers identified the female who continued her behavior by shouting racial epithets. Officers were trying to get a taxi when the female tried to re-enter the bar she was told she was not allowed to go back into. Due to the female's behavior, no listening to simple directions and agitating patrons/staff of the bar placed her under arrest. The female continued to use racial epithets. When an officer asked her to stop she kicked the officer's left knee causing pain & discomfort. The female (Debra Rose Cangiarella) was transported to the county jail.

Theft – 1900 blk. E. Carson St. – between 11/11/17 at 4 PM and 11/12/17 at noon – Victim reported her Glock 26 Gen 4 9mm was stolen from her purse while at a local bar.

Allentown (1803) – NTR

Mount Oliver (1607)

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Burr St. – 11/10/17 at 3:30 AM – Victim reported finding his car doors open and the doors storage had been disturbed but nothing appeared to be stolen.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Burr St. – between 11/9/17 at 10 PM and 11/10/17 at 9 AM – Victim reported his vehicle was ransacked and $6 was stolen from it.

Arlington (1603) – NTR

Arlington Heights (1604)

Burglary – 3100 blk. Cordell Pl. – between 11/9/17 at 6:25 AM and 11/10/17 at 4:20 PM – Victim returned home and found her door forced open. The victim observed her home was ransacked and items were stolen. The stolen items were a kitten (orange) and a Samsung Galaxy S5. Amount of loss is over $94.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Aggravated assault – 200 blk. Beltzhoover Ave. – 11/10/17 at 9:20 PM – Victims reported their vehicle was broken into and they were in pursuit of the suspect. The suspect then tried hitting the victim with a hammer but missed. However, the suspect swung again striking the victim in the head with the hammer. The victim then uses a small wooden bat to fend off the suspect. The suspect claimed he was the victim. The suspect had marks on his hands and fingers consistent with someone smashing a vehicle window. The suspect (Nicholas Paul Herrle) was arrested and taken to the county jail. The bat & hammer were collected as evidence.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft – 1900 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 10/29/17 at 8 PM and 11/6/17 at 5:24 AM – An employer called to report on an employee stealing cash & lottery tickets from the business. Amount of loss is $1,935.64. The employee made an agreement with the employer to pay the money back or charges would be filed.

Stolen vehicle – 100 blk. Meredith St. – 11/6/17 at 1 PM – Victim called to report her white 2006 Acura MDX was stolen. Officers later recovered the vehicle unoccupied. Items inside the car were iPhone 5, iPhone 5 phone case, cash, Costco car seat, Graco booster seat, jump pack for car battery, Acer laptop, & medline work supplies. Amount of loss is over $1,160.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Calhoun Ave. – between 11/8/17 at 10 PM and 11/10/17 at 6:30 AM – Victim reported items stolen from his vehicle. The items were a plumber code book, Makita sawzall, & 5 gallon bucket with various hand tools. Amount of loss is $690.

Theft by deception – 1600 blk. Concordia St. – between 11/7/17 at 3 PM and 11/8/17 at 8 PM – Victim reported selling his vehicle for $150 for scrap. When he went to buy food he found the $100 bill was fake.

Theft – 400 blk. Sinton Ave. – between 11/7/17 at 5 AM and 11/8/17 at 9 AM – A service provider reported the theft of 85' of copper wire. The amount of loss is $500.

Theft – 100 blk. Meritt Ave. – between 10/1/17 at midnight and 10/21/17 at midnight – A business owner reported someone stole his MK diamond saw. Amount of loss is $2,500.

Burglary – 200 blk. Overbrook Blvd. – between 11/1/17 at noon and 11/10/17 at 10:41 PM – Victim reported 32 pistols and a rifle were stolen out of his home. The pistols were Astra .38 special, 3 Astra 400s, Astra 600, EAA Windacater .357/38, FEG mod PMK .380, Colt auto .25, 2 Smith & Wesson .38 Specials, Charter Arms 44 Special Bulldog, High Standard Sentinel Deluxe 9 shot .22LR, 1 LC9 Ruger 9 mm, Ruger .380. Smith & Wesson SW40e & SW9F, Phoenix Arms HP22A, Diamondback .380, Bernadelli .25, Hi-Point 9mm, Hi-Point .380, Raven Arms .25, AMT back-up II 9mm, Taurus PT738, Glock 17, Glock 22, Beretta V22 Neos, Sig Sauer 1911, Ruger SR45, Ruger MKIII6, Glock 23, AR-15, plus ammunition.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft from vehicle – 1900 blk. Fairland St. – between 11/6/17 at 5 PM and 11/7/17 at 9 AM – Victim reported her center console was open and items were taken. The items were a debit card, credit cards, CPR certification, medical card, & gift cards were stolen from her vheicle

St. Clair (1606) – NTR

Knoxville (3001)

Robbery – 600 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 11/6/17 at 10:36 PM – Victim reported he was robbed at gun point by a black male (5'5", small build, long black dread locks, wearing white hoodie, black jacket, & half face ski mask). The suspect stole $51 in cash from the victim.

Theft – 100 blk. Grape St. – between 11/8/17 at 3 PM and 11/9/17 at 1 PM – Victim reported his Nishiki Tamarack bike was stolen. The victim found his bike lock had been cut off. The amount of loss is $250.

Theft – 200 blk. Jucunda St. – 11/11/17 at Noon – Victim reported his tool bag with a Dewalt 18V, Dewalt battery, 3 Makita drills, & Dewalt charger were stolen from outside of the residence. Amount of loss is $748.

Theft – 100 blk. Zara St. – 10/30/17 at midnight – Victim reported 3 boxes of vinyl siding was stolen from his property. Amount of loss is $450.
