On Saturday, October 7, 2017, Gilmary Council #3868, of the Knights of Columbus, held its first "All You Can Eat" Italian Buffet in the St. Basil's Church Hall on Brownsville Road, in Carrick, in honor of Columbus Day.

It was a huge success, with over 400 people attending. Caterer, Signature Servings by Chef Steve, provided a full service menu enjoyed by all that day. The success of this event was made possible, in part, by the hard work of Gilmary Council members, and the participation of area parishioners.

The net proceeds will be used toward the purchase of new winter coats for needy children in the local area through the Knights of Columbus "Coats for Kids" program, and for the support of two seminarians on their journey to priesthood.
