The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: Oct. 9-15.

Duquesne Heights (1911) –

Theft from vehicle – 300 blk. Augusta St. - between 10/10/17 at 9:45 PM and 10/11/17 at 9:15 AM – Victim reported finding the vehicle ransacked. Items stolen from the vehicle were cash and gift card. Amount of loss is over $80.

Theft from vehicle – 400 blk. Augusta St. - between 10/10/17 at 10 PM and 10/11/17 at 6 AM – Victim reported finding her vehicle rifled through. Items stolen from the vehicle were cash, Franco wallet, credit cards, debit card, state ID, membership cards, & earrings. Amount of loss is over $120.

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft of property lost or mislaid - 10/8/17 at 2 PM – Victim reported losing her medication in a taxi cab. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft by deception – 500 blk. Grace St. - 8/31/17 at midnight – Victim reported selling his iPhone 6 through the mail from an internet contact. The victim never received payment for the phone. Amount of loss is $400.

Robbery – 100 blk. Shiloh St. - 10/11/17 at 10:58 PM – Victim reported that while walking her Luis Vuitton purse was grabbed from her by a white male (5'8", 150 pounds, medium build, brown hair, gray hoodie, & jeans). The contents of the purse contained a Luis Vuitton wallet, stated ID, social security information, insurance card, credit card, debit card, and cash. Amount of loss is over $25.

Robbery – Boggs Ave. & Wyoming St. - 10/14/17 at 6:40 PM – Victim reported he was approached by 2 black males dressed in all black. They asked him to use his phone which he agreed. The then demanded the victim's wallet as one of them placed his hand in his pocket holding a gun. The victim then handed over his wallet. The amount of loss is unknown.

Bon Air (1806) – Nothing to report.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft – 2200 blk. Arlington Ave. - between 10/10/17 at 10 PM and 10/11/17 at 12:30 PM – Victim reported her debit card, bus pass, access card, state ID, & unemployment card. Her debit card was used to make unauthorized transactions. Loss is over $238.

Burglary – 3000 blk. Harcum Way – between 10/10/17 at 10:30 PM and 10/11/17 at 9 AM – Victims reported forced entry occurred overnight to their home while they was sleeping. The victims discovered the following items had been stolen a PlayStation 4 with 2 controllers, Under Armor gym bag, Nike shoes, Allegheny Health Network jacket, Macbook Air with charger, and cash. Amount of loss is over $405.

Robbery – 2500 blk. Mission St. - 10/11/17 at 6:59 PM – Victim reported she was approached by a white male (15-30 years old, 5'8", 160 pounds, wearing a gray hoodie, black vest, and black/white casual pants). The male made pleasant conversation with her until she reached her home where he grabbed her purse from her person and fled. The contents inside the purse were bus card, small wooden purse, bank card, & state ID. The amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 2600 blk. S. 18th St. - 10/10/17 at 2:45 PM – Victim reported he went back inside of his home for 5 minutes and left his black gym bag with state ID in it. When he came back out it was gone. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 100 blk. Mt. Oliver St. - between 1 AM and 8 AM on 10/11/17 - Victim reported her Sharp TV and Dell laptop were taken by a known person who was staying with her.

South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)

Theft – 2400 blk. Jane St. - between 8:45 PM and 10 PM on 10/8/17 - Victim reported someone cut the lock on her bicycle and left it behind. However, her Trek mountain bike (blue with black trim) had been stolen. Amount of loss is $215.

Stolen vehicle – S. 21st St. & Sidney St. - between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM on 10/11/17 - Victim reported his blue/gray 2014 Subaru Impreza was stolen. Later, the victim located her vehicle and she stated she had forgot where she parked her vehicle.

Theft – 100 blk. S. 26th St. - between 8/14/17 at noon and 10/14/17 at 2 PM – Victim called to report the theft of items from a storage locker. The items were Northern 39 ton log splitter, 4-1998 Cobra , 4- Yamaha Rhino side-by-side, 4- Honda TRX, 4- Yamaha Raptor 700 tires and wheels, 6' roll of rubber, and lock. Amount of loss is $24,520.

Robbery – Carey Way & S. 18th St. - 10/9/17 at 4:33 PM – Victim reported a white male (30-35 years old, 6'2", medium build, light complexion, wearing a "wife beater" shirt) he is familiar with robbed him along with another black male (30-40 years old, 6', medium build, black hair in an afro style, scruffy beard, and wearing a black/gray flannel shirt). The victim stated the black male held a gun against the back of his head. The white male then went thru his pockets stealing cash. Amount of loss is $80.

Theft of property delivered – 100 blk. S. 21st St. - 10/8/17 at 0959 – Victim reported her package was delivered but when her roommate arrived shortly after it was gone. Amount of loss is $32. Item stolen was a comforter set.

Theft from vehicle – Enon Way & Breed St. - between 10/9/17 at 9:30 PM and 10/10/17 at 6:30 PM – Victim returned to the vehicle and discovered it had been ransacked and change had been stolen. Amount of loss is over $5.

Theft – 1900 blk. E. Carson St. - 10/11/17 at 3:26 PM – Victim reported a white male (5'10", 180 pounds, medium build, partially short gray hair, scruffy beard, light complexion, wearing gray baseball cap, gray/white tee shirt (Under Armour), gray sweatshirt, gray cargo shorts, and tennis shoes) stole her Sony laptop and cash, Amount of loss is $740.

Theft – 1700 blk. Sidney St. - 10/11/17 at 9 PM – Victim reported his Schwinn 29" Ascension bicycle was stolen from his yard within the last 2 hours. Amount of loss is $300.

Theft – 1500 blk. E. Carson St. - 9/22/17 at 1:14 AM – Victim reported her Victoria's Secret tote bag with "It" book, planner, make-up bag, Reebok shoes, jeans, Tequila Cowboy shirt, keys, key chain charm, sunglasses, Samsung earbud, & floral lunchbox with waterbottle were stolen out of a local bar. The amount of loss is over $490.

Robbery – 100 blk. S. 18th St. - 10/13/17 at 5 AM – Victim reported his iPhone 7 was stolen while at a local business. Amount of loss is $700.

Theft – 1900 blk. E. Carson St. - between 2/1/17 at 7 AM and 10/14/17 at 5:20 PM – Victim reported the theft of a painting he allowed a known person to access his business. Amount of loss is $4,000.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. S. 12th St. - 10/15/17 at 1:45 AM - Victim reported the theft of his Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol with black finish from his vehicle. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. S. 4th St. - 10/14/17 at 12:20 PM – Victim reported returning to her vehicle about an hour after she parked it. She found the front driver's window was broken and her leather purse had been stolen. The contents of the purse were debit cards, credit cards, leather Diane Von Furstenburg wallet, Costco eye glasses, gift cards, cash, & state ID. The amount of loss is over $390.

Allentown (1803)

Theft – Allen St. & McLain St. - 10/13/17 at 4:10 PM – Victim reported his LG cell phone had been stolen while playing basketball. Amount of loss is $130.

Theft – 200 blk. Conniston Ave. - between midnight and 3 AM on 10/9/17 - Victim reported her wallet, state ID, & birth certificate were stolen from her vehicle. Amount of loss is unknown.

Mount Oliver (1607)

Theft – 400 blk. McManus St. - 9/30/17 at 9 PM – A contractor reported he suspected an employee stole his tools from a home he was remodeling. There is not an itemized list of what was stolen at this time. The amount of loss is unknown as well.

Arlington (1603)

Aggravated assault & Robbery – 2000 blk. Spring St. - 10/15/17 at 12:10 AM – Victim reported she was out with a known male when they returned to her home to obtain her EBT card the known male demanded her money. The male then threatened to kill her. The victim grabbed a knife to protect herself and told him to leave. The suspect then charged her and placed her in a choke hold. After a struggle, the victim lost consciousness. When she awoke she realized her shirt was ripped and her pants checked. The victim noticed her black ZTE android phone had been stolen. Amount of loss is unknown.

Burglary – 200 blk. Clover St. - between 1:45 AM and 9:28 AM on 10/14/17 - Victim reported someone forced entry into her home and had stolen multiple items. The items were jewelry, wooden jewelry box, shopping bag with miscellaneous items, cash, prepaid Visa debit card, Sanyo LED TV, and ZTE cell phone. Amount of loss is over $2,056.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Robbery – Estella Ave. & Vandalia St. - 10/9/17 at 9:50 AM – Victim reported a black male (black medium length dread locks and wearing blue sweat suit) pulled a gun on him and stole his black book bag, 3 pair of shoes, & medication. The amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 100 blk. Sylvania Ave. - between 10/5/17 at midnight and 10/7/17 at noon – Victim reported a known person stole cash and her medication while staying at her home. Amount of loss is over $300.

Burglary – 100 blk. Sylvania Ave. - between 2 PM and 9 PM on 10/15/17 - Victim reported arriving home and finding his door was forced open. The victim stated nothing appears to have been taken from a preliminary check.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft – 2100 blk. Brownsville Rd. - 10/12/17 at 7 PM – Victim reported a white male (21-23 years old, medium build, brown shoulder length hair, wearing black shorts, and hoodie) grabbed his $300 out of the ATM and fled on foot.

Robbery – 1600 blk. Leolyn St. - 10/10/17 at 7:15 PM - Victims reported they were playing basketball when 2 white males approached them stating they took their cell phones. The suspect then punched one victim while having brass knuckles in his hand and then robbed the victim of his iPhone 5c. They then grabbed the other victim and took his iPhone SE from him. The victim had to go to a local hospital for treatment to a bad cut requiring stitches. The amount of loss is unknown. The 2 white males suspects are described as 19-20 years old, 5'10" & 6', 170 & 150 pounds, brown medium length hair & unknown hair, wearing white tee shirt + blue shorts & black tee shirt + black jeans respectively.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft – 2200 blk. Saw Mill Run Blvd. - between 8 AM and 4 PM on 9/23/17 - A car dealer reported the theft of a dealer plate. PA plate K10790K.

Aggravated assault – Seldon St. & Seldon Pl. - 10/14/17 at 2:20 PM - Victims reported an unknown white male (in his mid 30's, 5'10", 175 pounds, muscular build, short brown hair, clean shaven, tan complexion, wearing a black tee shirt, & blue jeans) pulled out a gun and shot the vehicle 4 or 5 times while they were inside.

St. Clair (1606)

Knoxville (3001)

Arson – Grimes Ave. & Duart Way – between 10/13/17 at 11 PM and 10/15/17 at 3 AM – Victim reported finding the back seat of her vehicle was burned. Amount of damage is unknown.
