Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 254/17 on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of The Irish Catholic Sportsman Club, applicant, and John J. and Beverly D. Varney, owners, for 2700 Brownsville Road in the 29th Ward (Zoning District LNC, R2-L, P).

Applicant requests use of first floor as clu and second floor as recreation and entertainment, indoor (limited).

Special Exception: 911.02: Use as club (general) is a Special Exception in the LNC zoning district.

Variance: 914.02: Parking spaces required and 0 proposed.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 45791, dated 14/02/1985, permitted occupancy “Thrift drug store first floor; second floor printing shop.”

Zone case 304/17 on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of Devin Lovell, applicant, and Clayton and MaryAnn Hollingsworth, owners, for 26 S. 27th Street in the 16th Ward (Zoning District R2-VH).

Applicant requests new awning sign.

Review: 919.01.F: Signs identifying a nonconforming use require a review by the ZBA.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 66736, dated 21/02/1994, permitted occupancy “Two-story structure for mecianical contractor with offices and storage and 11 outdoor parking stalls (including two handicapped) (40’x70’4” two-story southerly extension) parking enclosed with a 6’ high chain link fence and 2’4” addition to existing 4’4” high wall along Sarah Street and outdoor storage mechanical equipment and supplies limited to emergencies for one day only.”

Zone case 295/17 on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 10:30 a.m. is the appeal of Gene Nacey, applicant and owner, for 414 William Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District P).

Applicant requests use of two-family dwelling is no permitted in P zoning district.
