The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: July 31-August 6.

Duquesne Heights (1911) - NTR (nothing to report).

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Robbery – 300 blk. Kingsboro St. – 8/2/17 at 8:15 PM – A pizza delivery driver reported a black male stole 2 hoagies from him. The black male is 17-23 years old, 6'2", 220 pound, large build, black box-top haircut, and medium complexion Amount of loss is $17.

Theft – 200 blk. Lelia St. – 8/2/17 at 1:30 AM – Victim reported she had a known person go withdraw money from an ATM for her. The known person returned with the money. However, the victim discovered $310 additionally was taken out of her account.

Theft – 400 blk. Boggs Ave. – between 6:45 AM and 8:45 AM on 8/2/17 – Victim reported her table, large rug, bench, and chairs were taken off of her porch. Amount of loss is unknown.

South Shore (1921)

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 100 blk. Station Sq. Dr. W. – Victim reported losing his Metro PCS J7 Prime cell phone at a parking facility. Amount of loss is $200.

Bon Air (1806)

Robbery – 200 blk. Bon Air Ave. – 8/1/17 at 9:14 PM – Officers responded to a home invasion/robbery. Upon arrival, the victims reported 3 black males wearing masks "kicked-in" the back door and asked for one of the victim's jewelry, money, & weed. When the victim told them he did not have any the suspects stole an Xbox One, 2 Xbox controllers, Rolex watch, Armani watch, and 2 cell phones. Amount of loss is over $4,850. Suspect #1 is a black male, 6', 220 pounds, large build, black hair, brown eyes, dark complexion, black shirt, black pants, and red bandana. Suspect #2 is a black male, 5'8", 160 pounds, small build, light complexion, and gray hoodie. Suspect #3 is a black male, 6', 180 pounds, and medium build.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft – 2400 blk. Cobden St. – between 7/29/17 at 11 PM and 7/30/17 at 5 AM – Victim reported his phone was stolen from his home during a party. The phone was then used for unauthorized purchases. Amount of loss is at least $1,000.

Theft – 2000 blk. Julia St. – between 7/31/17 at 6 PM and 8/1/17 at 10:45 AM – An employee with a local business reported a white male (30-40 years old, 5'10", thin build, with black & gray hair, black tee shirt, and gray shorts) was damaging the fence by pulling the stakes out of the ground and throwing them. In addition, the employee found a 12-volt battery and power converter were stolen. The amount of loss is over $475.

South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)

Robbery – 2100 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/1/17 at 2:55 PM – An employee from a local business stated the suspect called to purchase two cell phones. The suspect came to the store and wanted to pay with a credit card. The employee stated he needed cash. The suspect went to grab the phones from the employee. When the employee fled to another location the suspect pursued him and told him if he did not give the suspect the phones he would shoot him. The employee reluctantly gave him the cell phones. The suspect then had the employee open the register. The suspect then stole cash from the register and fled the scene. Amount of loss is $2,038. The suspect is a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 6', muscular build, black hair, brown eyes, clean shaven, dark complexion, black baseball cap, burgundy tee shirt, and white apron.

Theft from vehicle – S. 22nd St. & Jane St. – between 12:30 PM and 7:30 PM on 8/2/17 – Victim reported his passenger side front window was broken and someone stole coins from her vehicle.

Theft – S. 25th St. & Sarah St. – 8/3/17 at 11:15 PM – Victim reported she put her backpack down to tie her shoe and an unknown person stole the backpack with her belongings in it. The items in the Chrome cycling backpack were a work ID, glasses, clothes, keys, epi pen, inhaler, biking shoes, and a book. Amount of loss is $1,430.

Theft from vehicle – 2100 blk. Sidney St. – between 8/5/17 at 3 PM and 8/6/17 at 11 AM – Victim reported someone stole her necklace with charm, earring, Cork wallet, gift cards, and vehicle registration. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 2900 blk. S. Water – between 8/3/17 at 11:30 PM and 8/4/17 at Noon – Victim reported she was in a hurry to attend a graduation. Sometime over the course of the night, she could not find her emerald and diamond ring. Amount of loss is $9,000.

Theft by deception – 100 blk. S. 16th St. – between 7/13/17 at midnight and 7/28/17 at 11 PM - Victim reported she made arrangements through an internet site to rent an apartment in California. The victim sent a payment to the tenant's landlord. She then checked and made sure the transaction cleared. After the transactions cleared, the victim was now told she had to send an additional month rent. When she explained this was not part of the agreement the people renting the apartment said they would move on to someone else. The people renting the apartment told her they would refund her money, but she has not received her money back. Amount of loss is $2,350.

Burglary – 1800 blk. Larkins Way – between 9 AM and 4:30 PM on 8/2/17 – Victim reported arriving home to find his door was open and there were signs of forced entry into the home. The victim also observed items stolen from the home. The items stolen are 2 sets of Army uniforms, a PT (physical training) uniform, photographs, and a Samsung phone charger. Amount of loss is over $245.

Allentown (1803)

Theft by deception – 100 blk. Millbridge St. – between 3/27/17 at 9 AM and 8/4/17 at 1 PM – Victim reported an insurance company has been taking out $38 monthly since June. The victim reported $400 in unauthorized transactions have been taken out by the insurance company without permission.

Mount Oliver (1607)

Theft – 400 blk. St. Joseph St. – 8/6/17 at 11:20 AM – A known person was scene stealing the victim's backpack with his wallet (Nike), debit card, & state ID. The debit card was later used for an unauthorized purchase at a local business. Amount of loss is over $36.

Arlington (1603) - NTR

Arlington Heights (1604)

Aggravated assault – 3100 blk. Cordell Pl. – 8/5/17 at 2:35 AM – The victim explained he was jumped by 3 black males. Suspect #1= black male, 6'1", medium build, dark complexion, black tee shirt, &white pants. Suspect #2= black male, 5'7", medium build, brown hair, dread-locks, light complexion, red jacket, and red sweat pants. Suspect #3= only description available is black male. Victim explained he was approached by the 3 black males in front of his home. The suspects asked him where he was from and when he replied (saying another state). The suspects then attacked the victim who stated he lost consciousness. Victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment for large cuts underneath his eyes.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Burglary – 300 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – between 7/6/17 at 3:30 PM and 8/6/17 at 3:30 PM – A property owner reported someone entered the home and stole the copper piping and mantel piece. Amount of loss is over $300. There was no forced entry into the building.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft – Midwood Way & Lucina Ave. – between 7/30/17 at midnight and 8/1/17 at 11 AM – An employee of a service provider reported the theft of telecommunication cable. The cable was approximately 50 feet long. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft from vehicle – Cloverdale St. & Glade St. – 8/2/17 at 2:40 PM – A person with a rental truck reported the truck was left running and someone had stolen the keys from it.

Theft – 2000 blk. Lucina St. – 8/3/16 at 6 AM – Victim called to report 10 feet of cable was stolen from his home. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft by deception – 2700 blk. Almora St. – between 9:30 AM and 3 PM on 8/4/17 – Victim reported a person identifying themselves as her relative asked her to purchase gift cards to help because the relative was arrested. The victim purchased the gift cards and gave them the gift card numbers.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft – 2200 Lucina Ave. – 8/3/17 at 1 PM – Victim reported a Lawnboy lawn mower stolen from their residence. Amount of loss is $450.

Robbery – Sunbeam Way & Jacob St. – 8/3/17 at 11:15 PM – Victim reported he met with a friend to walk her to meet her boyfriend. The victim stated upon meeting her friend's boyfriend he was robbed by her boyfriend and 2 other males. Suspect #1 (light skinned black males) walked up to him and asked to use his phone but the victim refused. Suspect #1 then reached into his pocket and took the victim's phone (iPhone SE). Suspect #1 then wanted the code to unlock the phone. The victim hesitated and Suspect #1 then pulled a black/silver semi-automatic handgun from his waist area and pointed it at him. The victim gave the code. The suspects are juveniles from 12-16 years old. Two suspects are known to the victim.

Theft – 100 blk. Briggs St. – between 8/5/17 at 10 PM and 8/6/17 at 12:09 AM – Victim reported her guinea pigs and lawn mower were stolen. Amount of loss is unknown.

St. Clair (1606) - NTR

Knoxville (3001)

Theft – 300 blk. Suncrest St. – between 7/24/17 at 11 AM and 7/31/17 at 1:30 PM – Victim reported his medication was stolen while he was away from home. The victim shares his home with other roommates. Amount of loss is unknown.

Robbery – 300 blk. Orchard Pl. – between 8/2/17 at 11:15 PM - The victim had made arrangement to meet with a person on an "app" to sell a MacBook Pro for $700. The victim while in his car had the MacBook Pro stolen from his grasp.

Burglary – 400 blk. Arabella St. – between 8/5/17 at 10:45 PM and 8/6/17 at 9:21 AM – Victims reported coming home and finding the door unlocked. The victims went to sleep. Upon, awakening they discovered the 60" LG flat screen and Xbox One gaming console were stolen. The victims noticed a window was open and the front door was unlocked. Amount of loss is $2,600.
