The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: July 17- 23.

Duquesne Heights (1911) – nothing to report (NTR).

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 500 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – 7/20/17 at 11 AM – Victim left his phone at his residence he shares with other people. When he arrived home the phone was gone. Amount of loss is $100.

Theft by deception – 100 blk. Boggs Ave. – between 7/15/17 at 10 AM and 7/16/17 at 4 PM – A care worker called to report her client had $500 stolen from his account. The care worker discovered another care worker stole the money.

Theft – 100 blk. Wyoming St. – between 7/19/17 at 6:30 Am and 7/20/17 at 6:15 AM – Victim reported his lawn furniture cushions had been stolen. Amount of loss is $100.

Criminal trespass – 100 blk. Penelope St. – 7/22/17 at 5:55 AM – Victim reported a known person broke her window and entered her home. The known person told her he would fix the window and no charges will be filed at this time.

Theft – 200 blk. Lelia St. – between 7/10/17 at 4 PM and 7/17/17 at 2:30 PM – Victim reported giving his keys to a friend. When he returned home he found 8 watches and 5 music CDs had been stolen from his home. Amount of loss is over $50.

South Shore (1921)

Robbery – 200 blk. Arlington Ave – between 7/17/17 at 1:56 PM – Victims arrived home to find 2 known people (suspects) inside burglarizing their home. When the victims tried to detain the 2 suspects the suspects fought the victims. After a brief investigation, officers arrested James Washington and Courtney Lockerbie. Lockerbie and Washington needed treatment as a result of their altercation prior to police arrival. One victim received treatment by medics on scene while the other victim refused.

Theft – 300 blk. Station Sq. Dr. W. – 7/19/17 at 11 AM – Victims left their belongings in a local hotel. When they went back to their room their small black luggage was missing along with the contents and the room was in the process of being cleaned. Items taken were pair of gold earrings, gold necklace, gold pendant, cash, & clothing. Amount of loss is $890.

Burglary – 300 blk. Station Sq. Dr. W. – 7/23/17 at 3:13 AM – Officers responded to a burglary call. Upon arrival, security officer had detained a male who forced entry into a booth and damaged property while taking an empty cash register drawer. Daniel Lupi was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Stolen vehicle – 1100 E. Warrington Ave – between 8 AM and 11 AM on 7/16/17 – Victim reported her silver 2016 Kia Forte with PA plate KFS 1861 had been stolen.

Bon Air (1806) - NTR

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Burglary – 1800 blk. Burham St. – between 7/9/17 at Noon and 7/16/17 at 11:30 AM – Victim observed her door was forced open and someone had stolen the revolver inside. The amount of loss is unknown.

Burglary – 100 blk. Hackstown St. – between 6/6/17 at 10 AM and 7/17/17 at 11:30 PM – Victim reported arriving home and finding her door unlocked and her home ransacked. However, there appears to be nothing stolen at this time.

Burglary – 1800 blk. Arlington Ave. – 7/6/17 at 2:30 PM – Victim reported a burglary. Victim stated she noticed her medication was missing along with $20. She then heard her floor creaking and saw a white male with a thin build and dark hair crawling down the hallway. The victim was not going to report it until she recently discovered more items had been stolen. The other items were her jewelry collection. Amount of loss is unknown.

Stolen vehicle – 1000 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – between 7/17/17 at 11 PM and 7/18/17 at 7:50 AM – Victim reported his blue/white 2001 Yamaha YC125 dirt bike was stolen which was chained & locked to the side of his home.

South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)

Aggravated assault – 2300 blk. Sidney St. – 7/18/17 at 12:01 AM – Victim reported he had just eaten at a local bar/restaurant when he was approached by suspect #1 who started "saying things" to the victim. Suspect #1 along with 6 other males attacked the victim by punching him and kicking him. The victim's injuries consisted of a fracture to his right cheek bone, bloody nose, and bruised ribs. The victim described suspect #1 as a white male with short blondish/red hair. The other males as white with short hair. The victim refused to give the name of the person he was walking with when he was attacked so officers could gather more information.

Theft by deception – 100 blk. S. 22nd St. – between 7/20/17 at 7 AM and 7/21/17 at 1:30 PM – Victim reported she received mail from a company in Texas with a check for $2,950.01. The directions wanted the victim to place the check in her account and wait for it to "clear". When she was told the check cleared she was instructed to send a money order for $2,145 which she did. The victim got suspicious when texted to purchase iTunes gift cards with her own money and to give the information on them to her point-of-contact. The victim checked with her bank who informed her the check for $2,950.01 would probably not clear in 10 days. The victim was later informed the check was bad.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 400 blk. Cinema Dr. – 7/16/17 at Midnight – Victim reported he dropped his wallet in a local business. Later, he recovered the wallet from one of the employees. However, $87 was missing. A third party described as an off duty theater worker gave the wallet to an usher and ultimately ended up with the victim.

Theft – 2600 blk. Tunnel Blvd – between 5/1/17 at midnight and 6/30/17 at midnight – Victim reported a known person used her bank card to make unauthorized purchases. Amount of loss is about $500.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – S.18th St. & Wharton St. – 7/12/17 at 10:30 PM – Victim reported losing his driver's license at a local business.

Theft by deception – 1000 blk. E. Carson St. – between 6/7/17 at midnight and 6/10/17 at midnight – A business reported receiving 2 chargebacks from a customer. Later, the business employee called back stating the customer had a misunderstanding with her bank and paid the money.

Stolen vehicle – 100 blk. Uxor Way – between 7/20/17 at 8 PM and 7/21/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported his black 2011 Porsche Cayenne had been stolen. Later, Zone 3 officers arrested Tre Roberson in possession of the vehicle.

Aggravated assault – 1700 blk. E. Carson St. – 7/21/17 at 11:47 PM – A local business refused to allow access to people trying to enter. The people caused a scene when denied entry. An officer working Southside Saturation saw the behavior and went to investigate. The local business' employees stated they denied entry and they refused to leave the entrance of the business blocking access to other patrons. The officer explained it was a private business and they could deny access and if they refused to leave would be a violation of the law. The group continued to yell at the employees. The officer gave warnings and the group moved except one person from the group who refused to move. The person/suspect closed distance on the officer and grabbed him by the shirt almost touching chest to chest. Officers arrested Jeremy Pedersen who was then taken to the county jail.

Theft from vehicle – 400 blk. Bingham St. – between 5:30 AM and Noon on 7/21/17 – Victim reported his license plate NY GHZ 1729 was stolen from his vehicle.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 1500 blk. E. Carson St. – 7/22/17 at 1:20 AM – Victim reported leaving her wallet at a local bar. Later, an employee found it and returned it to her. However, there was $200 missing from the wallet.

Robbery – 2000 blk. Jane St. – 7/23/17 at 2:55 AM – Victims reported walking when they heard people running behind them. A male then stated he had gun. The suspects then reached into the victim's pockets. Suspect #1 (5'8", medium build, black cornrows, wearing a black & yellow bandana) was thrown against a car by one victim who fled. Suspect #2 (5'9", large/heavy build, wearing dark clothes) was able to steal $20 out of the other victim's pockets before the victim fled.

Theft – Park Blvd. & Redwood St. – between 7/21/17 at 7 PM and 7/22/17 at 9 AM – Employee from a PUC utility reported 100 feet of service line cut down. Amount of loss is $1,000.

Allentown (1803)

Theft from vehicle – 700 blk. Carnival Way – between 7/13/17 at 1 PM and 7/17/17 at 7:30 PM – Victim reported someone stole $3 in coins from her vehicle and left the passenger side doors partially open.

Theft – 800 blk. E. Warrington Ave – 7/19/17 at 12:40 PM – Victim called to report she let a worker into her home for maintenance. Later she noticed cash was missing from her home. The amount of loss is $1,680.

Mount Oliver (1607) - NTR

Arlington (1603)

Robbery – 2000 blk. Spring St. – 7/17/17 at 1 AM – Victim was approached by a vehicle after exiting a bus and was asked for directions. The victim could not give directions and continued walking. Two occupants of the vehicle exited the vehicle and pulled a silver handgun and pointed at the victim. The suspect asked what he had and his shoe size. The victim was then forced to relinquish his Jordan sneaker and cell phone (iPhone ). Also, the suspects took the victim's book bag with state ID, debit card, iPhone charger, & keys. Amount of loss is over $970. Suspect– black male 15-18 years old, 5'8", medium build, dark medium length hair, clean shaven, and dark complexion.

Theft of property delivered – 2400 blk. Spring St. – between 12/1/16 at 8 AM and 7/21/17 at 4 PM – Victims called to report packages are sent to them every month by a delivery service and the packages are later found in the apartment buildings garbage with the contents stolen. Amount of loss is $136.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft – 1900 blk. Westmont Ave. – between midnight and 10 AM on 7/18/17 – Victim reported his blue Yamaha RT100 dirt bike was stolen from his rear deck. The victim located his dirt bike on Provost Road.

Theft – 1600 blk. Westmont Ave. – between 7/12/17 at 11 AM and 7/17/17 at 2 PM – Victim reported someone took his Pepsi Promotional Mountain bike from his patio. Amount of loss is $230.

Robbery – 1900 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 7/18/17 at 11:50 PM – Victim reported parking his vehicle and walking to his friend's home. While walking back to his vehicle, the victim stated a black male (wearing blue jeans & tee shirt, 5'10", muscular build, short black curly hair, and clean shaven) punched him in the face several times. The suspect then dragged the victim to the ground and kicked him in the ribs and back while demanding the victim's money. The amount of loss is $90.

Stolen vehicle – 1700 blk. Saw Mill Run Blvd. – 7/22/17 at 9:39 AM – Driver left a rental car (black 2017 Chevrolet Malibu) running while entering a business. We he came out the rental car was gone. Officers were updated during their response that a vehicle matching the stolen rental car description was wrecked on Newett. The driver fled the scene. The driver was a white male, 20-30 years old, scruffy facial hair, pirates baseball hat, black tee shirt, black Nike shoes, and green with black camouflage cargo shorts.

Stolen vehicle – 1400 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 7/22/17 at 9:56 AM – Victim reported while taking his dog for a walk he must have dropped his vehicle key and someone passing by picked them up and stole his vehicle. The vehicle is a black 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The vehicle was recovered by Pittsburgh Police in Zone 6.

Theft – Park Blvd. & Redwood Ave. – between 2 AM and 6 AM on 7/23/17 – An employee from a service provider reported the then of 150 feet of copper wire. The employee called to report the wire was later recovered in the area.

Theft – 100 blk. Wynoka St. – between 7/14/17 at midnight and 7/17/17 at 4 AM – Victim reported her Vera Wang engagement ring and gold necklace with "dog tags" had been stolen by a known person. Amount of loss is over $3,000.

Theft by deception – 100 blk. Carrick Ave. – between 6/22/17 at 7 AM and 7/17/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported she was contacted thru an online site to provide home health care for someone who was moving into the area. A check for $2,495 was sent to her for the service. However, when the victim went to deposit the check the bank told her it was a bad check. No money was lost.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 200 blk. Spencer Ave. – between 7/16/17 at 8 PM and 7/17/17 at 8:30 AM – Victim reported she put her purse down on her front porch. Later, she went to get it and the purse has gone. The purse contained cash, social security information, state ID, credit card, and checks. Amount of loss is over $775.

Theft – 2200 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 7/19/17 at 3 PM and 7/21/17 at 8 AM – Victim reported his life-size statue of Virgin Mary was stolen from his yard. Amount of loss is $500.

Theft – 2200 blk. Dellrose St. – between 11/1/16 at midnight and 12/31/16 at midnight – Victim reported a known person used his identity to create to unauthorized accounts with a service provider. The amount of loss is $2,480.

Stolen vehicle – 100 blk. Kirk Ave. – between 7/20/17 at 10 PM and 7/21/17 at Noon – Victim reported his green quad was stolen but could not give a year, make, & model for the quad. Amount of loss is $1,000.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 2400 blk. Saw Mill Run Blvd. – between 6/2/17 at 3:10 PM and 7/17/17 at 1:34 PM – A business owner called to report a license plate was missing. PA plate J84599J.

St. Clair (1606) - NTR

Knoxville (3001)

Stolen vehicle – 200 blk. Marland St. – 7/17/17 at 1 AM – Victim reported her vehicle (a white 2007 Chevrolet Impala) had been stolen. The vehicle was stolen before. The vehicle was recovered by the victim a short distance from where it was stolen.

Aggravated assault – 100 blk. Knox Ave. – 7/23/17 at 5 PM – Officers responded to a female shot in the eye with a BB gun. The victim was walking up the stairs in her home when a BB went through a window and struck her in the eye. The medics transported the victim to a local hospital.

Burglary – 300 blk. Bausman St. –between 7/16/17 at noon and 7/23/17 at 1 AM – Owner of a rental property observed the front door was pried open and several appliances and tools had been stolen. Items stolen were a refrigerator, microwave, and toolbox with hand tools. Amount of loss is $530.
