County Pools Open for the Season

Boyce Park Wave Pool, North Park Swimming Pool & Spray Park, Settlers Cabin Park Wave Pool & Dive Pool, and South Park Wave Pool are now open for the season.

Daily hours of operation are 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., weather and conditions permitting. If a pool does not open by 2 p.m. due to inclement weather, it will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

Seven new shade structures and 17 new benches have been installed at the North Park Swimming Pool for the 2017 season. Rafts will be available for rent at all four pools with a daily rate of $4 for county residents and $5 for non-residents, including a $1 deposit. Coin lockers are available for $0.25.

Free swimming lessons based on American Red Cross guidelines will be offered for ages 6 and older at each pool. The popular “Pooches in the Pool” event on Labor Day will take place at all four pools this year. The parks department is also expanding programming at all four pools by offering yoga and fitness classes, as well as preschool aquatics and kids boot camps. Additional information on the aquatics programs and activities is provided below.
