Four arrested in South Side for assault

At 6:43 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, Zone 3 Officers were called to an assault in the 1100 block of E. Carson Street.

Officers arrived and spoke with the 25-year-old victim who told them his gun and t-shirt were taken from him in a robbery outside of Jack's Bar.

According to police, the victim stepped out of the bar to S. 12th Street when a group of men on motorcycles confronted him and began to rip his shirt off. The men also took the victim's gun from his waistband holster.

Officers observed a group of motorcyclists departing Jack's and driving inbound on Sarah Street at 7:18 p.m. The group was stopped in the 1400 block of E. Carson Street.

In total, eight motorcyclists were detained. Four of the men were identified as being involved in the robbery – Gino Furgiuele, 46, of Slippery Rock; Bradley Eugene Lewis, 38, of Monaca; James E. Mixter, 42, of Baden; and Richard Schriner, 47, of Beaver Falls.

The men were taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail. Their motorcycles were towed from the scene. The additional four men originally detained were released from the scene.

Furgiuele, Schriner, Mixter, and Lewis' charges include robbery, criminal conspiracy, and simple assault. Lewis faces the additional charges of receiving stolen property and classes of licenses.
