Pitch in to help with Allentown clean-ups

Allentown will be holding several clean-up and beautifying efforts on Earth Day, April 22.

The Hill Top United Methodist Church will hold a clean-up on E. Warrington and nearby streets. Volunteers are asked to meet at the church, 631 E. Warrington Avenue at 10 a.m. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed toe shoes, gloves, bags and tools will be provided.

In addition, additional volunteer opportunities are available with the Hilltop Alliance and Allentown CDC to touch-up the paint on the banner poles and spruce up the planters along E. Warrington Avenue.

There will also be a tire and television drop-off in the Hilltop Alliance parking lot at 831 E. Warrington Ave.

Contact Wayne at 646-851-8482 with questions or to sign up for the clean-up. Feel free to call back to confirm if you don’t hear back within two or three days.

For more information or to volunteer to help touch-up paint poles and planters, call 412-712-3306.
