Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 72/17 on Thursday, April 6 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of George Evan and Janet G. Stoddard, owners and applicants, for 192 S. 17th Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests up to 13’ high wall on the interior side of single-family dwelling.

Variance: 925.06.A.3: Maximum 6½’ height permitted and 13’ requested.

Zone case 126/17 on Thursday, April 6 at 9:40 a.m. is the appeal of Brian Michael Fallet, owner and applicant, for 1507 Arlington Avenue in the 18th Ward (Zoning District R1D-H).

Applicant requests one-story rear addition and new deck for a single-family dwelling.

Variance: 903.03.D.2: Minimum 15’ exterior side setback required and 0’ requested.

Zone case 109/17 on Thursday, April 13 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of William R. Hoffman, owner and applicant, for 81 S. 16th Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests continued use of property at two-family dwelling.

Review: 911.02: Review of use of property as two-family dwelling.

Zone case 96/17 on Thursday, April 13 at 9:40 a.m. is the appeal of St. Henry Lyceum of Pgh., owners and applicants, for 2226 Arlington Avenue in the 16th Ward (Zoning District LNC).

Applicant requests use of structure as social club (general).

Special Exception: 911.04.A.88: Use of social club (general) is a Special Exception in LNC zoning district.

Variance: 914.02: 49 on-site parking spaces required.

Zone case 151/17 on Thursday, April 13 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of Stonegate Investments LLC, owner, and Brett Alan Shank, R.A., applicant, for 1010 Freyburg Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District NDI).

Applicant requests addition and renovation to existing building for use as multi-family residential (6 units).

Variances: 904.03.C: Minimum 20’ rear setback required and 2’10” requested; Maximum 45’/three stories required and four stories requested; Maximum FAR 2:1 permitted.

Zone case 67/17 on Thursday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. is the appeal of Judy G. Friedman, owner and applicant, for 25 Norton Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District R2-H).

Applicant requests four on-site parking spaces at rear of three-family dwelling.

Variance: 903.03.D.2: Minimum 15’ exterior side setback required and 0’ requested.

Notes: Certificate of Occupancy 42275, dated 6/9/1983, permitted occupancy “Multiple family dwelling with three dwelling units.”

Zone case 83/17 on Thursday, April 13 at 10:40 a.m. is the appeal of Fei Xu, owner and applicant, for 77-79 S. 19th Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests continued use of structure as four residential dwellings.

Special Exception: 921.02.A.4: Change from one nonconforming use to another is a Special Exception.

Zone case 162/17 on Thursday, April 20 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of Susan J. Ford, owner and applicant, for 32 Enon Way in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests one compact car parking space for a single-family dwelling.

Variances: 903.03.E.2: Minimum 5’ interior side setback required and 0’ requested; 912.04.F: Building separation 3’ required; 914.09.H.2: Width of stall for compact car 7.75’ required.
