Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 14/17 on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of Penny Project Properties LLC, owner and applicant, for 117 S. 13th Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).

Applicant requests four-car parking pad for a single-family dwelling located at 115 S.15th Street (as one lot).

Variances: 903.03.E.2: Minimum 5’ interior side setback required and 0’ requested.

Zone case 80/17 on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of JLB Retasa Multi LLC, owner and applicant, for 241 W. Sycamore Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District R2-H).

Applicant requests five off-site parking spaces accessory to multi-family structure located at 300 W. Sycamore Street.

Special Exception: 914.07.G.2: Off-site parking is a Special Exception.

Variances: 903.03.D.2: Minimum 15’ front setback required and 0’ requested; Minimum 15’ exterior side setback required and 7’ requested; 912.04.B: Minimum 5’ rear setback required and 0’ requested.

Zone case 82/17 on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of City of Pittsburgh, owner, and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, applicant, for 1811 Brownsville Road in the 29th Ward (Zoning District LNC).

Applicant requests new construction of one-story building for use as public library (general).

Variances: 904.02.C: Minimum 20’ rear setback required and 2’ requested; 914.02.A: Minimum 6 parking spaces required and 0 proposed.

Zone case 87/17 on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10:00 a.m. is the appeal of Gary F. and Marguerite D. Matz, owners and applicants, for 318 Bigbee Street in the 18th Ward (Zoning District R1D-H).

Applicant requests existing porch enclosure, third story addition, rooftop deck and two-car parking pad at rear of single-family dwelling.

Variances: 903.03.D.2: Minimum 15’ front setback required and 14’ requested; Minimum 5’ interior side setback required and 2.5’ requested.
